Small setups. Easier days.

A few useful guides before you go

Start with the routine your pet already knows. Add only the gear that makes it easier to keep that routine on the road.

Build a feeding station for a small camper

  1. Choose a parked-up spot. Find a level, easy-clean area away from the doorway, pedals and main walking route. Measure the space with both bowls open.
  2. Choose one bowl setup. A roll-up feeding station combines bowls and a mat. A collapsible pair packs separately. Match capacity to your pet's usual meals.
  3. Keep refills within reach. Store food in a closed container and keep fresh drinking water nearby. A travel organizer can gather the small items in one place.
  4. Make cleanup part of the routine. Wash food bowls after meals, refresh water regularly and dry bowls and mats before folding them away.
  5. Pack before driving. Empty open bowls and secure the feeding kit. Offer water during safe stops; a spill-resistant design is not a guarantee against movement or leaks.

Make a comfortable pet corner

  • Rest: Give your pet a familiar mat or bed on level ground with shade and room to move.
  • Space: Check campground pet and tether rules before setting up a pen or tie-out. Keep lines away from chairs, cooking areas and passing people.
  • Supervision: Stay with pets outdoors. Fabric pens and mesh enclosures are not a substitute for supervision or secure shelter.
  • Carriers: Check interior dimensions, ventilation and comfort at home first. Keep carriers shaded and take regular breaks.

Choose a resting spot separately from your travel restraint. A portable crate, cot or backpack is not automatically a suitable vehicle safety system.

Keep muddy paws at the doorway

Make one small cleanup kit: an absorbent towel, waste bags, pet grooming wipes and a bag for used items. Keep it easy to reach before your pet steps inside.

For a rinse, use clean water at a comfortable temperature and a gentle flow. Dry your pet and the floor afterward. Follow the campsite's wastewater rules.

The night-before packing check

  • Usual food, drinking water, bowls and a familiar bed.
  • Leash, harness, ID, waste bags and cleanup supplies.
  • Any prescribed supplies, pet records and your vet's contact details.
  • Emergency-vet details near your destination; review first aid kit contents with your vet before the trip.

Before you choose

A few common questions

Do I need everything on this page?

No. Start with a feeding setup, fresh water, a familiar rest spot and cleanup supplies. Several products here are alternatives to one another. Choose around your pet, your available space and the trips you actually take.

Which bowl setup works in a small RV?

Measure the open footprint first. Separate collapsible bowls are easy to tuck into a small bag; an integrated mat keeps the setup together. Check capacity and cleaning instructions, and pack open bowls away before driving.

Can a soft pen keep my pet outside alone?

Use these setups under supervision. Check zippers, mesh, anchoring and your pet's behavior, and keep the area shaded. They are not predator-proof or escape-proof shelters.

Why aren't prices shown here?

Prices, sizes and included accessories can change. Each product button takes you to the supplied Amazon listing so you can check the current selection and terms before ordering.
